Site Problems
If you’ve experienced any trouble with my blog today, that’s because I somehow managed to break it. I was messing around with mint, and screwed something up apparently. All should be fixed now after a few reinstalls, so I do apologize if this has created any problems for anyone. I would like to thank J Wynia for not being offended by my random and frantic request for PHP assistance. So here I will shamelessly plug his blog: Wynia.org, which is full of all kinds of PHP, lifehacking, usability, and overall goodness. You’ve definitely got a permanent link on my homepage! Thank heavens for the web community. Also, beware of FireFTP, this may or may not have been the source of my problem.
No problem. Your request was exactly the kind I don’t mind. Someone who’s in a difficult spot, willing to admit it, isn’t blaming me for it and isn’t demanding immediate attention and resolution for free.
Oh. And I’d suggest using FileZilla (just search Google) as your FTP client. It works well and supports SCP (secure transfers) as well as FTP and the interface for working with it doesn’t change.
