This is a blog about adventures in design, and sometimes other crap. My name is Beth Dean and I'm a web designer from Cleveland Ohio. I work for Progressive Insurance as a UX Developer.

This site is based on a contemporary design that tries to incorporate a blogging feature. The structure of the site is indeed quite methodically thought out with the slight drawback of being a little over planned. The white space and minimalistic persona of this site has enabled this design to remain clear and concise. My only criticism is that the site is lacking in visual appeal. Flash for instance would benefit this site and encourage a varied audience. On another note, the navigation is simple and is purposely thought out to encourage a well balanced and functional website.

Yeah the only thing I think I would change is the blog, just because it doesn't really mesh with the rest of the site as nicely. Plus I think people should try to get away from the formats (like this blog, I'm about to redesign) that scream WORDPRESS 1, 2, 3 poof: blog!
