LA Ink Premiere Tonight
Tonight is the series premiere for TLC’s latest trainwreck, LA Ink, a spin off of Miami Ink. The show is certain to make me roll my eyes and groan with irritation, but I’ll probably watch anyway out of morbid curiousity. Other things the show is certain to contain:
- Mediocre black and grey work.
- Kat Von D spreading germs from one tattoo to another with her nasty wrist bands she doesn’t change.
- Celebrities getting lame tattoos.
- Dramatic stories behind tattoos that are basically flash art.
Perhaps some good will come from the show and people will stop mistaking Alana for a receptionist at her shop. “Oh you tattoo?” Though it could completely backfire and the show could end up reinforcing negative stereotypes of women artists.
