Rob Zombie’s Halloween was the worst movie I’ve seen all year. I thought I knew what I was getting myself into after his Texas Chainsaw Massacre rip / homage House of 1,000 Corpses. I had expected a remake, and what I got was a totally different movie than the original Halloween. A movie that took what was a great, and terrifying story, and turned it into pure silliness. When will this new splat pack generation of movie makers realize that gore isn’t scary? Suspense is scary, and as I mentioned to someone earlier this morning, suspense is more than “OMG dude there’s a bad guy behind me!” Rob Zombie should also stop putting all his characters through the Jerry Springer filter, they might be a little more sympathetic.
Even worse than the movie, was the womans sitting behind me who’d brought all of her children along, one of whom was no older than 3.
