Will I ever have time to play Guitar Hero 3? # Still have not bought candy for evening festivities. Do not want my house to be egged, must remedy this. # So far have seen a chicken, a mermaid, a 70s business man, a pimp, and a black metal roadie. # Is now getting spam […]

TV Tattoo Artists: Step Up Your Game (LA Ink: Episode 12)

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Television tattoo artists are in the unfortunate position of ambassadors between the tattoo world and the so-called “normal” world. It’s certainly less than ideal, but this is how TLC chooses to present their reality franchises, as insight into lives and professions most of us will never experience. Little People Big World is a perfect example […]

I suddenly don’t feel so bad about putting my dog in a glow in the dark skeleton t-shirt for Halloween, this is far worse.

From Wired yesterday: Vinyl May Be Final Nail in CD’s Coffin. Finally record labels and the media are starting to comprehend what music enthusiasts have known all along. Matador and other labels include coupons in record packaging that can be used to download MP3 versions of the songs. Amory called the coupon program “hugely popular.” […]

Guitar Hero 3 for Wii

Monday, October 29th, 2007

My initial thoughts in playing Guitar Hero 3, were how different it is from the Playstation version. There seems to be a pretty big lag, and our attempts to calibrate the lag only made it worse. The changes to the guitar control are mostly welcome. The body is now heavier, which provides more balance when […]

Instead of being productive, spent greater part of the day napping with dogs. # Buying Guitar Hero 3 later, suspect I won’t be doing much else today. # Wow you can only get a Wii guitar controller with the game. Incredibly stupid. # Guitar Hero 3 for Wii has a bizarre lag, and recalibrating only […]

These are some of my personal favorites. Signs You are Not My New Roommate Contrary to your rambling theories, the reason I am not calling back is not that your message was “so cra-a-ackily” (Were you trying to replicate the crackle sound in some kind of onomatopoetic serenade?) I Have $1000 in Booze, and you […]

The Search for the Next Elvira. Did we need another? The Hello Kitty AK-47. For those days when shooting someone needs to be special. Pizza Hut Italian Bistro.Pizza Hut- but classy. LA Ink: Episode 11

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

I believe this is the first episode of LA Ink where Kat doesn’t tattoo a celebrity. Instead she accompanies some girl’s lame sob story with equally lame lettering. “I came out, and my parents said they still loved me. It was real sad.” Yeah I definitely feel for you, wow what a life changing experience. […]

From Digg, the World’s Most Expensive Scotches. Some of these look amazing. So far the most expensive single malt I’ve had is a Macallan 18 ringing in at $150+ a bottle. It was delicious- I’m partial to highlands, but certainly not the best I’ve had.

I came across The Superest today, a venture from Kevin Cornell and Matthew Sutter. The premise is someone draws a cartoon with a special power. The next cartoon’s power cancels out the previous cartoon’s power. The illustration quality is superb, and I love the hand drawn type. (via)

Wherein I Cry Foul on Dove’s Real Beauty Campaign

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Those Dove commercials are pretty groundbreaking right? Especially since the point of the ads is to tell you it’s okay if you’re not skinny, just don’t have (gasp) wrinkles! In which case you should, you know, scoop up some firming creams. Unilever, as I mentioned last week, also makes Axe which has those allegedly spoofy […]
