Thanks to a recently signed bill, Lakewood now has more options for cable service. Currently, if you live in Lakewood you’re stuck with Cox. My Cox service goes out intermittently, certain channels never work properly, my internet service goes down almost daily, and they charge considerably more than Time Warner. Also their customer service (not tech support) is only available during weekday business hours, hugely inconvenient if you want to say, call and cancel your service. I wonder how long before Lakewood residents can become Time Warner customers?

That is good news for you. We had Adelphia until they were bought out by Time-Warner. When I first started working from home, we used them for data as well as TV. It was constantly up and down . . . horrible service. I switched to DSL.

I haven’t switched back to cable since our provider switched to Time-Warner, but I will say that the cable TV service has been more solid. Hopefully, they have better data service, too.

Either way, it is always good to have a choice!
