Beards and Dogs
This was a busy weekend. We had visitors from out of town (you can see Bill getting some love from Harper to the left. Our dogs love beards) a belated family Christmas, and freelance work. Thursday I found out I was going to be teaching a class at Tri-C on beginning web publishing, so I’ve been preparing for that also because it starts tonight. (Eek.)
I ended up getting a lot of kitchen things for Christmas. I got both a silipat, and a mechanical pastry bag set, so I’m planning a sequel to the cupcake party in February. This time I think it will be a cheesecake party.
My sister got me the pasta maker attachment for my stand mixer, so I’m pretty excited to make some of my own pasta. It has a lot of inserts, so it’s actually much more versatile than just pasta.
I think I’m pretty well set for the class, but if anyone has any suggestions for something they wished they would’ve learned earlier on, or any other advice regarding teaching I’m all ears!
